This is an annual event so the awards this site gives out can only be won once a year. Before submitting your sites, please read the rules and make sure you nominate them in their appropriate category. Please consult the Important Dates on the side for the deadlines.

Time To Vote!
It's time to vote for the Third Annual Blinding Light Web Awards! I was a bit late because my *reliable* host was down last night and I couldn't get to a computer this morning because I was out.
Anyways, I had to bend the rules a little and accepted a minimum of 3 finalists per category instead of 4. It was really hard deciding which is the "best" among the choices. I also moved sites to different categories.
For those who are wondering why their sites weren't accepted, here are the possible reasons:
- Your site was on hiatus/down when I visited.
- There weren't enough accepted finalists on the category you chose.
- Your site loaded too slowly. More than or almost 500kb worth of images is way too much for my dial-up internet, it timed out and all I can see are a bunch of broken images and a distorted table. Try optimizing your images. It will also save bandwidth.
- There were errors in the scripts you use and/or error messages when I went to your site. Those who are using PHP, add @ before the function so those errors won't show up.
- As I said in a previous post, I don't have a Flash player so sorry to those who had Flash in their sites. Although I did make an exception for 1 site because of the category it is nominated in.
There are a bunch more reasons but those are basically the most common issues. If you have any questions, just email me using the contact form available on this site.
Please vote for the one you think is most deserving to win and you can only vote once. I haven't touched the code for the voting script so if you experience any problems, report them to me so I can fix whatever is the problem right away. Good luck to all the finalists!
